In the wake of a brutal civil war that refuses to fully die down, Agora has become the most destabilized region on the continent. Apart from Temara (which still is under Venarian control) and Rima, the only ones still upholding law are soldiers and vigilante committees, and while the result isn’t pretty the region has achieved something close to a status quo with the exception of Agadir.
Located near Karai in northwest Agora, battles between Agoran soldiers, Venarian sympathizers and organized crime keeps tormenting the city and with no signs of dying down the future of Agadir looks very grim, with what was once a exuberant city of trade being turned into a battleground where civilian casualties have become nothing but a statistic, and it’s more likely that the reason Agadir will eventually lose its slot on the list due to the population falling below 1000 rather than the militia group signing a peace treaty. It’d look too bad for the regime, the Venarians are too zealous to give up their beloved city and the crime syndicate have no interest in losing control of such a profitable city. The only hope of the citizens is liberation by a foreign country, but due to the unfortunate location of the city it might just be better to pray that Kyrie will be merciful after death…
